5 EASY STEPS TO MAKING A POSITIVE U-TURN
The danger in doing here is that in the long run, things get worse and they probably will never be able to make such changes anymore which will later result in more disastrous effects than there was earlier. The more you wait the harder the consequnce of making the U-Turn. The best time to do it is NOW!
Here are the 5 steps to making this U-TURN in the positive direction.
1. Change your mind. Your mind is one basic tool you have been given and the very first and easiest way to make an easy U-TURN is to make the decision to improve on the content of your mind and change your philosophy. the reason you have been in that negative situation is because of your way of thinking. Read books instead of watching movies, listen to audio programs and gospel music instead of worldly music with dirty lyrics.they influence your thinking in a great way.
2. Know that you are alone. Know that you came into this world with nobody, you are alone! its a harsh truth we've all got to accept. the people around you all have their lives to live and you have yours. whatever you do today, is a seed for your future and not for another person's, yours! So make a decision to only do those things which will add something positive to your life.
3. Avoid Pleasure and accept pain. There is a saying that "Generals are known by the number of scars they have on them". To achieve success in life, you need to know that its gonna be hard and when you know that, its easier to prepare your mind to face all that is ahead and still decide to continue pressing on no matter what. 1Peter 4:1
4. Change your company. Who you are now is someway because of the people you are with. if you must change your philosophy and make this sudden U-TURN, you must consciously change the friends you move with, and then pick friends who are going the same direction with you.
5. Create a daily habit and burn the bridge behind you. Make up your mind never to go back and then create a habit of positive things to do on a daily basis to replace the negative activities you've been involved with. e.g reading your bible daily, reading a book a day, praying on a daily basis, exercising daily, etc.
Final thoughts, Jim Rohn defines success as, "a few simple disciplines practiced everyday."Never forget this.
