Two important management lessons I learnt from a 500 Naira note today.

1. Here’s a story about how a speaker taught two major important lessons with a 500 Naira note.  The speaker got out his wallet & pulled out a 500 Naira note. Holding it up, he asked, "Who wants this 500 naira note?" Lots of hands went up. A slow chorus began to build as people began to shout "Me!" "Me!" one would wonder who the lucky one would be who the speaker would choose. And also you would wonder why he would simply give away 500 naira. Even as the shouts of "I want it" grew louder, a young woman ran down the aisle. She ran up onto the stage, went up to the speaker, and grabbed the five 500 naira note from his hand. "Well done, young lady," said the speaker into the microphone. The speaker simply said "Most of us just sit and wait for good things to happen. That's of no use. You've got to make things happen. I Can't Live Without You...Is This For Real?

"I can't live without you" is a statement of addictive dependency. It implies dependency on another person other than God to sustain your life. Though people who talk like this may do it trying to get the other person to love them back and feel sorry for them but the latter is what it will be. Of course they might feel sorry for you and stay with you but that's all it will be because true love doesn't thrive on pity.  Another statement in error is "You complete me" this is another false statement that implies lack of confidence in your self and also you have a void which you think someone should fill. No one should complete you, if you are not complete, you shouldn't get married in the first place. Singleness implies completeness, wholeness, uniqueness etc. You must first be single and stand out before you can be married. You don't have to be perfect to be complete, you just have to know and trust in the perfect God, and then have a perfect v
