Wife Beating Is Cowardice!

This must be very surprising coming from a man I guess but YES! That’s my stand. I hate wife beating since it shows off how immature and stupid any man involved in such a shameful act is. It is disgusting and barbaric! Permit me to say this, any man who beats his wife for any reason, has a problem and not the wife; no matter what she does. In many cases research has shown that this same men can not even stand up to other men in a challenge. In the first place we must understand that women are delicate and tender. As a man, you can’t compare your physical strength with your wife's since she is made with just one rib from you. It’s quite amazing how many men are immature in marriages today.  People marry for the very wrong reasons and end up in "hell" in their marriages therefore in reacting to the situation instead of responding to it, they resort to wife-beating either because they feel they can’t take the nagging from their wife anymore or just out of shear frustration. They find faults in everything the woman does and use that as an excuse to pounce on her at every given opportunity. Such a man should be in jail so that he can be flexing his muscles with his fellow prisoners instead of his wife.

The reasons why a man must never hit his wife are thus.         

1.   She is one body with you right after marriage. No one hits himself to inflict pain after they’ve done something wrong except they are out of their senses or mad. Which in this case is what such men are to be described as     It shows how immature by portraying a lack of self-control. Lack of self-control which also is immaturity is what makes a man to hit his wife. If a man has control over his anger, he must understand that no matter what his wife does, since he can’t hit himself, he must never hit her but instead try to calm himself down and treat the problem with a leadership approach.   
2. It betrays your lack of leadership ability. A shepherd must never hit his sheep out of anger to inflict pain but instead must understand them and know how to make them go his way through influence by caring for them, loving them and protecting them.
3. Your wife is not your slave. Even slaves according to God’s principles should get some preferential treatment as regards beating not to talk of your wife.
4.  It shows your lack of understanding. A man who understands his wife and knows her moods should know how to calm her down when she gets all moody and emotional. You must as well understand that women have a totally different make up from men, therefore we are to treat them with understanding.
5.  It is a selfish act and has nothing to do with loving someone. Hitting someone else only satisfies your Ego without caring that the other person might feel pain and makes you less than a man.

Conclusively, everyman must know how to be the head of his home by taking responsibility for anything that goes wrong in that home instead of looking for who to blame and who to punish. A man must love his wife and do so with his whole heart; if she starts acting terrible and stops respecting you, it means you have stopped loving her. You must then learn to use the two magical words that can quench any anger and calm any situation they are  “I’m Sorry” and “Thank you”.
