TRUTHFULNESS IN PERSPECTIVE

Good morning friends, I hope you all had a great weekend, because I so enjoyed mine. Welcome on board a new week which promises to be a fruitful one for those who will tap into the opportunities

as they present themselves to us.

Today we shall be looking at a very rare and so highly priced virtue in our society. Truthfulness is a key stone in the foundation for success in life. Virtues as we may know are more important in this world than riches; but what we see in this present day is that people sell off their virtues just to make money because of lack of a sense of value and priority. And now in our day to day relationships, the arrival of the social and communication media, have greatly increased the opportunity for people to tell lies. Now someone can be in a place and say they are in another, thinking they are smart, not knowing they have just traded something more important for something temporary. Every businessperson trades to make profit by giving away something to get something more. Personally I would say everyman is a trader in this world. God has endowed us with many virtues and here we are given the opportunity to trade with them and whatever we make out of them is what we are rewarded for. Every time we tell lies, we trade a more valued good for a lesser good. And the more often you tell lies to people you relate with, the less and less valuable you become.
 Here are some of the disadvantages of telling lies. 

1. You sin against God
2. You lose your self-worth in the process
3. Soon it becomes a habit and you do it even without knowing.
4. People find out you are a liar and then you lose your value before them also.
5. Nobody regards your words as truth anymore
6. You lose opportunities to make positive impact and become influential and wealthy.
7. You become broke and lonely or have fake friends who only are around you to suck from you.

All of these are some of the disadvantages of telling lies or half-truth also which is regarded as a lie in sight of God. We betray the other persons trust in us when we stoop so low to tell lies to them. Even when you think they are doing it to you that is never enough reason to do so as well. Be the one to make the difference today, let the change begin from you, decide today to tell the truth even if it costs you your life and then, even though it might cost you some pain, greatness awaits you ahead.
